Standing Weight-Bearing Hamstring Stretch – Part 8 of the Spinal Hygiene Series

Dr. Kebby Margaretich of Back to Health Chiropractic in Grass Valley, CA details how to perform the standing weight-bearing hamstring stretch. This useful exercise works as a core strengthening and stretch out the hamstrings.  This is particularly useful for anyone doing running, hiking, or walking activities.  As with all other stretches, it’s best done with a 30 second continuous hold in the maximum stretch position.  Each leg should be done twice.  And as always, never cause pain with the stretch, just a strong pulling sensation.
