Wellness Plan
You may decide to make your first visit to our office because you are in pain – your back has locked up, you fell, or you have had long-term pain from a previous incident. We will be able to provide a care plan that is designed to give you the best results in the shortest amount of time. Treatment is likely to be frequent during this period of care in order to relieve pain and restore function.
Pain and other symptoms appear after conditions have become advanced. With chiropractic care, pain is usually the first symptom to be relieved. That does not mean the underlying cause has been cured. It is my job to locate and remove the cause of your pain and allow your body to heal and repair.
Once your condition has stabilized, we will begin working on the underlying cause of your pain. This stage often requires more visits (sometimes multiple visits per week in the beginning) to make the necessary changes in the ligaments, tendons and the musculoskeletal system.
Your individual treatment plan may include exercises, stretches and other activities that will speed up your healing. Making a commitment to stick with your treatment plan still makes all the difference in the time needed for your body to heal. Depending on your unique case, this is usually the time the visits become fewer and fewer.
Once you attain a higher level of health, you will naturally want to maintain the new feeling of freedom from pain and your newfound appreciation of your good health by continuing to schedule your visits to our office for your “maintenance” visits. Just like seeing your dentist twice a year, maintaining your health through chiropractic care is a sensible wellness plan.
